Scarey...her Christmas Album is THE bomb.

Ashley is definitely in the holiday spirit. Hot Chocolate, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Holiday Music blaring on the Ipod, baking cookies, The Polar Express, tonight is the gingerbread house...

Next Sunday I actually get to go shopping. SOOOO looking forward to that. Sean and I go out of town and shop all day long. Get to enjoy lunch together, and be Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Now that is fun stuff.

I had a good friend of ours recently tell me that he sat his 7 and 4 year old down LAST year and told them there was no Santa Clause. Now..With that being said I understand that there are important lessons to be learned with Christmas. Such as its better to GIVE than to RECEIVE, and you better believe I am teaching my children that. I understand also that it is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. But I also feel VERY strongly about the Magic of Christmas. Never again can we get that innocence, that joy back from being a kid and BELIEVING. The excitement, the pure joy...I can relive all that WITH and THROUGH my children, but I can never get it back. I feel that believing in Santa is a HUGE part of childhood, and for someone to tell a child while they still believe...seems like robbery to me.

Anyway...back to being Mr. and Mrs. Clause. So excited to do the shopping. In our new house, Jude actually has his own art room. So we are going to get him an art desk, new paints, new colored pencils, new crayons (one of my favorite things EVER), new paintbrushes, some chalkboard paint to paint the walls, a huge bulletin board...and for the Bing-Meister...a sweet tricycle.
So stoked!

My mostest favorite Christmas movie of all time is How the Grinch Stole Christmas - the Jim Carrey version.
We bought that movie right when it came out in 2001, when Julian was barely the age of One. Sean and I have seen that movie at least 200 times, and it still manages to make us laugh so hard we cry. So if you haven't seen it, your kids haven't seen it...RENT it..better yet BUY it. You will NOT be disappointed. Its definitely a Wren classic now, as Bing has developed a strong love for it as well.

I have really..and i mean REALLY been missing my blog babes. I feel so very behind in your lives.

MOVING SUCKS! but my new house ROCKS.

Jude has some kick-a*s Dr. Seuss ornaments but I can photograph them well to save my life.
